To respond to the changing needs of our membership and to best provide the tools and resources our members are asking for, the Women & Planning Division is proposing changes to our Division Bylaws.
We are providing you with a draft of the proposed amendments for review and comment. Per APA guidelines, comments on the proposed Bylaws amendments will be accepted for 14 days (June 8-June 21, 2022).
Following the review period, we will revise the proposed changes as needed to respond to comments and share the proposed changes with APA for review. Following APA’s review and approval, final revisions will be made as needed, and the proposed Bylaws will be sent to members for approval. The approval voting period will be open for 7 days.

Summary of Changes
- Update Division purpose (1.4) to align with Division's priorities for achieving gender parity
- Update Membership services (2.4) to include additional services provided by the Division
- Update Officers (5.0) to include position titles and descriptions aligned with current activities including:
- Combining the Officer positions of Director of Chapter Engagement (5.8) and Director of Student Engagement (5.9) into a new Director of Engagement (new 5.8) position
- Adding a new Officer position "Director of Funding and Financial Support" (new 5.9) to enhance Division activities by seeking grants and outside funding and supporting Division members through grant and scholarship programs
- Removal of two committees that have not been activated (7.2)
