June 8 - Update
Dear neighbour,
It is an honour to accept the huge responsibility and privilege of being the MPP for University–Rosedale for another term.
A big shout out to my exceptional competitors, Andrea Barrack and Dianne Saxe, election staff, volunteers, and supporters. Thank you to all who made the decision to vote. It doesn’t matter who you voted for, my job is to serve everyone. Thank you to Andrea Horwath for her strong leadership over the past decade. With Andrea’s departure, it’s time to begin the work to choose a new NDP leader.
Premier Ford has secured a majority government. It’s going to be another tough four years. As your MPP, I will use my experience as a lawmaker, a coalition builder, and an organizer to advocate for the city and province we need. When we work together to secure change we are more likely to win. This philosophy of working together, helping people and building power underscores my approach to this work.
This is what we need. Excellent public schools, universal health care, housing that’s affordable to everyone, and the rapid implementation of a bold Green New Democratic Deal climate action plan. It also means electoral reform so our votes fully count. That’s what we need to fight for.
We have power when we work together.
Please reach out to our office if you have ideas, questions, concerns, or wish to volunteer.
Yours,
Jessica Bell, MPP
University–Rosedale
