Weekly Prayer Requests
  • Pray for global partners Jeremy & Ruth Hsu. After serving in East Asia and Taiwan for many years, they are currently taking their Sabbatical year.  The Lord put a burden in their hearts to do missionary care. Please pray for God's guidance for direction in their future ministries.
  • Social Responsibility As this country suffered through yet another school shooting recently in Uvalde, Texas, and a hospital shooting in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we pray that the leaders of this country will be able to step up and gather consensus on the issue of gun control and gun-related violence, such that we can erect effective policies and limit further mass shootings to a minimum.

Due Honor: Honoring Others (3)
Pastor Enoch Liao @9:15
Pastor Ken Liu @1:30

Exodus 20:12
English Standard Version

12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.

Ephesians 6:2
English Standard Version

“Honor your father and mother” (this is the first commandment with a promise),

Matthew 15:1-9
English Standard Version

Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat.” He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition? For God commanded, ‘Honor your father and your mother,’ and, ‘Whoever reviles father or mother must surely die.’ But you say, ‘If anyone tells his father or his mother, “What you would have gained from me is given to God,” he need not honor his father.’ So for the sake of your tradition you have made void the word of God. You hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy of you, when he said:

8      “‘This people honors me with their lips,
          but their heart is far from me;
9      in vain do they worship me,
          teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’”
