We tend to think of Solo Travel as being only for people who are single, but that's not always the case. Increasingly couples are choosing to take separate vacations to maximize their travel budgets. Or, maybe they want to travel together but like to have their own room for a variety of reasons. "Solo" doesn't necessarily equal "alone".
Many women who travel Solo prefer to be on a Women-Only Group tour, for content that is more relevant to them, for safety and security as well as meeting other like-minded women.
The options below are just a few ideas for Solo Travel and Women-Only Groups. Choose a group tour based on a place you've always wanted to visit or an activity you enjoy like cycling, hiking, skiing or kayaking.

Solo Self-Drive in the Faroe Islands - Lois Farley
...I was travelling on my own and had arranged a car rental with a the local tour company we use to arrange our clients’ travel. After a brief look over the vehicle to figure out all the bells and whistles, and get my maps sorted out and my camera ready, off I set.
The map I had of Torshavn didn’t indicate which streets were one-ways (and a lot of them are). So, on my way from the car rental office to the harbour, I ended up in an old, residential area. The streets here were very narrow with steep inclines and down ramps. I quickly realized that driving here is not for the faint of heart, but isn’t super difficult either.
