Meet a Board Member:

John Harper currently serves in the office of the president at South Central College as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and has been with SCC since 2016. He has a Master’s of Science in Educational Leadership and Administration from Minnesota State University, Mankato. John actively works with academic deans, faculty, and staff to examine policy, procedure, and assessments with an equity lens. He has conducted over 200 plus training for business partners and campus departments since January of 2021. He also is very involved with our community by being a board member of the Greater Mankato Diversity, a member of the Young Professionals and outreach through the church he attends. He is currently attending Morgan State University, a historically black college and university (HBCU) for his education doctorate in Community College Leadership. His anticipated graduation is fall of 2024.
