Tangihia ngā mate huhua o te tau kua hipa, mihia te tau hou me ōna tumanako katoa tīhei mauriora.
As we settle into the time of Puanga our new year and into the winter months it is a time to reflect on the past year not least of all those who have passed on. This was wānanga time where the pātaka were full from the recent harvest where we eat and kōrero in our wharenui to prepare for the upcoming year.
For Te Kāhui o Taranaki it is important that we look back on the last year and consider our moves for the upcoming year. Engagement 'Whiria te muka' is a huge part of what we do and we look forward with our various planned activities from wānanga paepae to hīkoi whenua to planting in our taiao mahi space to Taranaki Tū Mai & Tiripoua. These are all opportunities to engage our uri in their Taranakitanga.
Me tōngai harakeke e te iwi.
