Femto Engineering 25 years

Femto celebrates it's 25 years of existence this year and that does not go unnoticed. The Technisch Weekblad got a special interview with our managing director Tom Santegoeds. Latest release Femap

On the 1st of June 2022 Siemens DISW will launch the latest version of Simcenter Femap. This 2022.2 version is packed with new features and enhancements. Simcenter Femap 2022.2 delivers powerful user interface, meshing and laminate improvements, new simulation entities, and much more. Reveal Hydro Motion Team

On Monday, May 23rd, the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team unveiled their flying hydrogen boat. Raoul Boucke, a member of the Dutch House of Representatives, christened the boat at Lake7 in Zevenhuizen, Zuid Holland in The Netherlands. The hydrogen boat was designed and built by the TU Delft Hydro Motion Team, consisting of 25 students from TU Delft. With this newly revealed boat, the team aims to win the world championship in Monaco this summer.

It has been a great honor to be helping the team reach their goals.

Our special CFD series

We have all seen the great videos of our CFD Tuesday on our social media. But apart from these interesting simulations, we also want to look at the physics behind CFD and how a simulation imitates reality. In the latest edition of Validating Fundamentals, we will validate a 2D NACA 0012 Airfoil case. The case is based on the validation case setup by NASA. The case consists of a NACA 0012 airfoil in a far-field domain and a Mach 0.15 airflow.
