GPs in Cornwall are urging those aged 12 and older who have a weakened immune system to come forward for their potentially life-saving COVID-19 Spring booster vaccination.
Those eligible for a Spring Booster should book an appointment for six months after their last COVID-19 vaccine to keep their immunity topped up. Those eligible include people with:
a blood cancer such as leukemia or lymphoma
a weakened immune system due to a treatment such as high dose steroid medicine, biological therapy, chemo or radiotherapy
an organ or bone marrow transplant
a condition that means you're at very high risk of getting infections
a condition or treatment your specialist advises makes you eligible for a third dose
Planning a Jubilee street party with bunting, balloons and paper plates and cups?
Here are some tips from our recycling team on what to do with them afterwards:
Consider reusing your bunting for another event or recycle with other soft plastics, like bread bags, at your supermarket
Ask everyone to bring reusable plastic plates and cups if they can
If you're using paper plates and cups with a plastic coating on them, sadly they can’t be recycled and will have to be binned
If your paper plate is billed as ‘compostable’ then unfortunately we can’t recycle it with the rest of your paper, nor can we compost for you. Please put it in your own compost bin or in your rubbish bin
Avoid balloons if you can. If you must, don’t let them fly off. Make sure they’re safely disposed of in a rubbish bin.
If in doubt about what you can recycle and how search our Recycling A-Z 👇
