Taking the gospel to every community, meeting their material needs and equipping Ukrainians for a brighter future.

Prayer points:

  • Kadena Gora: for energy and inspiration for those organising children’s work and women's ministry; that many will attend, and the sessions will be supportive and helpful
  • Blagodatne: for outreach to the military, that the soldiers would respond to God as they see his love through the way the church serves them; as the gospel is preached to them; and through the literature they receive
  • For the Pastors’ meeting, that it was an encouragement to all who attended
  • Cherkassy: For the recovery of Pastor Oleg, as he has been unwell
  • For fuel to travel, and protection on the journeys to collect refugees
  • For energy and resources, as Oleg and other church leaders support families and continue to serve their congregations through ministry activities
  • For wisdom in how best to support the military
  • For a sense of peace and safety in the midst of conflict

Our partners continue to serve their congregations and the displaced people arriving in their communities. Here are some recent updates on their activities, plus an exciting announcement from the UK office.

Pastor Dima and the church in Kadena Gora

Natasha (Dima’s wife) plans to travel to Kadena Gora every week and spend time with the children. They also want to make a prayer group for the displaced women, to hold during the time that Natasha is in Kadena Gora.

Pastor Sergiy Limar in Blagodatne:

They are praising God that the Easter celebrations went really well. They had a picnic and a lot of new people came, and now new people are also coming to the daily prayer meetings.
Please pray for revival amongst the military. Church members cook for them twice a week and wash their clothes every day. They preach to them and put Christian literature in their laundry bags, and also held a Christian concert for them.
On May 14th a pastors' meeting took place, to which all the pastors in region were invited. Many pastors are in great need of encouragement, especially as several of their wives have left for the west of Ukraine or for other countries.
Sergiy also adds, "We are so grateful for the financial assistance we have received; we are glad that we can serve people, and reach new people, in these difficult times."

Pastor Oleg at Christmas Church in Cherkassy:

Unfortunately they had to cancel a planned trip to Dnepropetrovsk to get refugees from Donetsk, due to the large increase in the price of fuel and a shortage at gas stations. They believe that more fuel will appear soon, and then they can make the trip.
The church is taking refugees who are in transit into their homes, and distributing food. Some families who do not have a father or who have difficulties are helped financially. Now there is a big shortage of work and so many people are struggling to buy food and medicine, and to pay rent.
In the church they continue with their regular ministries. Every Sunday they go out to socialize and play with local children and their parents. There are plans to organize an evangelistic "family day" at the end of May, where they hope to have fellowship with many people and through that, to learn more of their needs.
There are many requests for help for the army and it's not always easy to know how to respond, but they have sent some food for soldiers.

And from the UK office...an important announcement
