Update 5 for Get Off My Lawn!

Thank you for subscribing for updates for A Whim Away's upcoming new book, Get Off My Lawn! Today, I will be giving you an insight into the cover design process.

I was initially thinking of creating the cover myself using Canva. But something was always wrong with the versions I was making, and people in the self-publishing group highly recommended that I hire a professional cover designer.

As you know, I almost got scammed in that group. I seemed to be having reasonable conversations with them about the cover. In the end, their downfall was trying to change PayPal details when I was ready to pay. It was very close!

Next, I engaged a cover illustrator and designer on Upwork. Marta Khmilyar, from Ukraine, illustrated the front cover herself, and gave me a few options. Upwork kept the payment in escrow for us, so we both knew we were serious. Here's the final illustration, as a bonus for reading!
