As of May 29th, over $3,000CAD has been raised towards their $10,000CAD goal. Although this tragic event will cause a Creepy Hollow Halloween to look different this year, co-owner Glory Reimer says they will still have a Halloween event this year, "Because that’s what we do,” Reimer said. “We don’t quit. We’ll find something else, bigger, better hopefully.”

There will be no more "mazes" at Universal Studios Hollywood's Halloween Horror Nights this year. After years of calling their Halloween Horror Nights attractions "mazes", this year HHN will call all their haunts "houses", just as Universal Orlando has done for years. John Murdy confirmed the switch in terms via a May 24th Tweet, writing, "[I] think it’s only appropriate to take a moment of silence to mark the passing of the term 'maze' from the lexicon of HHN at USH. They shall hence forward be known as 'houses' in the vernacular of HHN at UO." He finished with a cheeky note, "I am a little bitter that my excellent suggestions to replace the word 'maze' were rejected outright! So you won’t be experiencing any 'Boo Boxes,' 'Scare Shanties' or 'HorrorHaus' any time soon! Oh well! Thanks for the memories 'maze.' I hope to get lost in you down the line." Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood will run Thursday, September 8th - October 31st.

In anticipation of the Halloween candy rush, Hershey will add three distribution and fulfillment centers this year, and is working to install an additional 10 production lines to boost capacity and meet growing demands. Hershey is looking to ramp up production and add inventory ahead of the busy Halloween season, President and CEO Michele Buck said in an earnings call last month. “We are doing everything we can relative to building capacity, investing in new lines, distribution centers, hiring more people to build our supply as much as possible.” Hershey is experiencing greatest capacity constraints within its Reese’s brand, Buck said in the call. The company also expects several products to “remain capacity-constrained until 2023,” according to prepared remarks.
