Advancing 2SLGBTQ+ Inclusion in the Faculty of Arts & Science

The Dean's Office in partnership with the Sexual & Gender Diversity Office invites faculty and staff to attend this virtual session to develop foundational knowledge and awareness of sexual and gender diversity and engage in opportunities to expand understanding beyond binaries. It will also critically examine the systems, social dynamics and myths that underpin transphobia and homophobia. Participants will explore the concrete ways these issues can surface within classrooms, workplaces and daily lives, both at U of T and beyond. The training will also delve into pronoun usage and gender-inclusive language, as well as strategies to develop more inclusive and equitable spaces for 2SLGBTQ+ people in Arts & Science and beyond.
