Hi <<First Name *>>,

Did you know changes in season can disrupt your digestive system?  As the heat rises in the summer, your digestive system can slow down and cause digestive issues like dehydration, heat exhaustion, stroke, food poisoning, bloating and loss of appetite.

Here are some tips for keeping your digestive system running smoothly in the summer months.

Eat lighter foods in smaller quantities.

You can aid digestion by eating smaller portions more frequently.  Avoid heavy meals and replace them with green vegetables and fresh fruits such as tomatoes, apples, pears, watermelon, and cucumber. These foods are not only easy to digest but are high in fiber and help you stay hydrated.

Stay hydrated.

In the heat of the summer, it is easy to become dehydrated which can lead to constipation.  Drinking lots of water can help keep your digestion system moving. Aim to drink at least 2 liters of water daily.

Clean your colon

Colon hydrotherapy uses filtered water to flush accumulated fecal waste, harmful bacteria, intestinal parasites, gas, and mucus from the colon. It is a safe and gentle yet powerful way to cleanse the body and to make all body systems and organs more efficient.

Avoid spicy, fried & acidic food.

Try to eat a healthier diet with fewer spicy, fatty foods to avoid heartburn and stomach inflammation.

Eat probiotic-rich foods.

Eat a diet rich in probiotics to help improve or restore  your gut flora

Keep moving.

Physical activity increases blood flow to the muscles in the digestive system, which massages our food along the digestive tract. Research also suggests that exercise affects the balance of bacteria in the gut.
