On Whit Monday and Whit Tuesday, the Act of Consecration will be celebrated at 10 am. On Tuesday, following the service, Gabriele Freydank-Edelstein will offer a talk on the being of Kaspar Hauser and his significance for our time.

The Gospel reading for the three days of Whitsun is John 14:23-31. This was accidentally omitted from our newsletter.

Family Camp will take place at Presqu’ile Provincial Park August 18-22. You can now register here!

The Weekly Word

On The Holy Spirit
Excerpt from “Four Quartets” by T.S. Eliot

The dove descending breaks the air
With flame of incandescent terror
Of which the tongues declare
The one discharge from sin and error.
The only hope, or else despair
Lies in the choice of pyre or pyre-
To be redeemed from fire by fire.

Who then devised the torment? Love.
Love is the unfamiliar Name
Behind the hands that wove
The intolerable shirt of flame
Which human power cannot remove.
We only live, only suspire
Consumed by either fire or fire.”
