Graduating with God
Mark 16:15 says, “He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”
It is that time of the year where graduations are everywhere! Being a youth leader, working for Teen Challenge, and just having family and close friends in my life, I have had the great privilege of attending so many graduations of all sorts. These are emotional and exciting times! This year seemed to have more graduates than ever, including my 6-year-old grandson. My thoughts always go towards wondering if these kiddos and adults know what goals they want to achieve to get to where they want to be in life. These are hard decisions to make especially if still very young.
I also wondered if we as Christians have allowed God to be a part of the decision-making in our lives and if have we helped others know Jesus to receive that same wisdom from God. Ours and our children’s future are very important and to live strong and healthy lives we need to focus and plan to succeed in all we want to do. We need to give support and encouragement to each other. However, the most important thing we need in our lives is Jesus! Living the life God wants for us is best to achieve His plans and goals for each of us to be truly successful. It is our responsibility to personally stay close to Him and witness to others in our families and our lives. We can achieve all we want in this world, but we cannot graduate from this world into eternal life without receiving Jesus!
Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
