Newly Announced Deprecations

Here is an overview of the deprecations that were announced last month:

  • Azure Machine Learning reinforcement learning via the azureml.contrib.train.rl package is retiring on 30 June 2022 (link)
  • Support for IoT Edge devices on Raspberry Pi OS Stretch is retiring on 30 June 2022 (link)
  • Azure VM insights guest health (preview) is retiring on 30 November 2022 (link)
  • Azure Video Analyzer (preview) is retiring on 30 November 2022 (link)

Upcoming Deprecations

Careful, here is an overview of the deprecations (*) that are almost going to take effect and might impact you:

  • Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Authentication Library (ADAL) and Azure AD Graph API are deprecated by June 30th, 2022 (link)
  • Azure Red Hat OpenShift 3.11 will be retired on 30 June 2022 (link)
  • Azure Active Directory (AD) Graph is retiring on 30 June 2022 (link)
  • Premium Container SKU (public preview) in Azure App Service v1.20 is retiring on June 30th 2022 (link)
  • Azure Machine Learning reinforcement learning via the azureml.contrib.train.rl package is retiring on 30 June 2022 (link)
  • Microsoft Security Code Analysis (MSCA) extension is retiring on 1 July 2022 (Extended - link)
  • Azure App Service's Java 7 support is retiring on 29 July 2022 (link)
  • .Azure Application Insights' work item integration (classic) is retiring on 31 August 2022 (link)
  • Azure Cosmos DB Python SDK for SQL API 1.x & 2.x will no longer be maintained after 31 August 2022 (link)
  • Schema changes to Azure Network Watcher's Traffic Analytics by 31 August 2022 (link)
  • Azure Virtual Machine H-series are retiring on 31 August 2022 (link)
  • Azure Active Directory Connect v1 is retiring on 31 August 2022 (link)
  • IoT connector (preview) in Azure API for Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) is retiring on September 30th 2022 (link)
  • Azure Funtions' PowerShell 6 support is retiring on 30 September 2022 (link)
  • Azure Funtions' Python 3.6 support is retiring on 30 September 2022 (link)
  • IoT Hub on Azure Stack Hub (public preview) is retiring on September 30th 2022 (link)
(*) We are still retroactively importing previously announced deprecations in our internal storage, results will only include deprecations announced as of September 2021 for now.
