Letter from WCFR President Jacqueline Cassagnol

▣ May 2022

Dear WCFR Supporters,

We are so excited to share that the Mahwah Regional Chamber of Commerce will honor our very own WCFR Adviser, Sabrina Hosang Jordan with the Humanitarian of the Year award at the Chamber's 31st Annual Golf Outing and Humanitarian Dinner on September 13, 2022, and WCFR was selected as the beneficiary of the event.

Sabrina Hosang Jordan is the CEO of Caribbean Food Delights and Royal Caribbean Bakery. She is an award winning young professional entrepreneur and business leader who is recognized among her peers as a model team builder and motivator. She holds her degree from Villanova University, and has used her skills to grow the companies over the last two decades. She has received numerous awards, including the Ernst & Young LLP, Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2019 Award in the Family Business category in New York.

Since 2003, Sabrina has sponsored young children in deprived areas in Honduras, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Indonesia via World Vision, providing them access to education, and clean water and food. She is also actively involved in mentoring many young people to become the leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. She lends her expertise and time to the Vincent HoSang Family Foundation, (VHFF) where she is a director, and to various community organizations whose mission are geared to individual and community empowerment. She is an active board member of Worldwide Community First Responder (WCFR), the chosen charity for the 2022 MRCC Golf Outing. She also supports the Jamaican Civic and Cultural Association of Rockland (JAMCCAR), the Jawonio Foundation, which provides lifespan services for those with special needs, and People to People, Rockland County’s largest food pantry. She was appointed to the New York Forward Re-Opening Advisory Board in April 2020.

Set for Monday, September 13, 2022, the MRCC 31st Annual Golf Outing and Humanitarian Dinner will be held at the New York Country Club, in Rockland County, NY, and is open to Chamber members and non-members. Worldwide Community First Responder, Inc. will be the beneficiary and receive a portion of the profits from the event. This is a great opportunity to raise awareness of our mission “to prevent deaths worldwide through education and training”, support the event, and fundraise for our cause. Let’s get started! We can begin by spreading the news to our friends and family. Call, send emails, and post on social media. The more people who learn about and support the event, the more money we will raise.

Special thanks to the leadership at MRCC for selecting Sabrina Hosang Jordan as their 2022 Humanitarian of the Year, and WCFR as the beneficiary of their 31st Annual Golf Outing and Humanitarian Dinner. To learn more about the event, please visit www.mahwah.com.
In Gratitude,
