As Design Coach, I’ve learned so much from working with your team, from reflecting on your final prototypes to discussing the nuances of this challenge space together. We shared your work with the YMCA this week and you should be so proud.

I really appreciated your team’s focus on equity and accessibility in the changemaker program. Your final prototype decreases barriers to entry for changemakers and builds their power in decision-making processes, which is absolutely critical for creating programming that centers their needs.

I learned a lot from the ways your team worked together. In reflection sessions and check-ins, you took so much care to develop community agreements that worked for everyone. You also welcomed two new members to your group in spring, which proved your commitment to an inclusive team environment.

I loved meeting with your team during weekly reflection sessions as we questioned and explored the definition of “changemaker.” Your deep thinking was so evident in your final prototype, which used reflection as a tool to connect changemakers in the same ways it connected us throughout the year.
