Welcome to CyberNorth’s June newsletter

CyberNorth is working to support the growth and development of the whole cyber security sector across the region. We have some great events lined up over the summer months - find out more below and make sure you get involved.

Innovation Festival

We’re very excited to be sponsoring, in conjunction with UKC3, a four day cyber security strand at this year’s internationally acclaimed Northumbrian Water Group Innovation Festival #IF2022. The festival will be held on 12-15 July, at Gosforth Park Racecourse, with daily, immersive sprints to address live issues in the cyber security sector:

  • Embedding innovation in the cyber security sector - 12 July
  • Bringing talent into cyber security - 13 July
  • Business impacts of cyber incidents - 14 July

Each dash will follow a similar workshop-format with the morning given over to the definition and breakdown of the issue, and the afternoon geared towards possible solutions.

The dashes are arranged so that you can attend one or more, depending upon your interest. We’re keen to have attendees with diverse skills and experiences, not just from the cyber security sector.

Dynamo Conference

This year’s Dynamo conference will be held over two days, virtual on 21 June and in person on 22 June at Northumbria University. We are excited to be running two cyber security sessions:

  • Why innovation is important in cyber security - 21 June
  • Digital for authentic audience connection in the arts - 22 June
