 DETAIL
  1. General commentary (for info)
We are well aware that you continue to bear the brunt of participant frustration about the weather. There's no real answer to this issue except good weather, and hopefully, we've seen the start of that over the last week. I am well aware that many fields remain unplayable and will take a while to dry out. Again, thank you for your commitment and dedication to your communities and clubs.
  1. Financial relief for clubs (for noting) (Download Memo: Link)
The NCF Zone Committee has approved financial relief for NCF Member Zone clubs to help you deal with the negative financial impacts created by the significant poor weather. The financial relief will be applied equally to all Clarence Valley and Coffs Coast clubs. The relief will be provided by a 20 per cent discount on NCF Zone fees for 2022. The total value of this reduction is approximately $50,000. Full details of the relief initiative are in this memo (link).
  1. Meeting with the Mayor of Coffs and other LGA info (for info)
I will be in contact tomorrow with Coffs Harbour LGA clubs to prepare for the meeting with the Mayor (awaiting timing). I also aim to get to other Mayors by the end of the week. The Mayor of Bellingen has been in touch with me regarding grants for clubs in Bellingen Shire LGA. Clarence Valley Council has also been in contact wanting to sit down and work through how to help clubs. This work is a priority at the moment.
  1. NCF July school holidays program (for info)
NCF is starting to publicise an expanded school holiday program this week. We're offering a two-day clinic in Coffs and Grafton (Link). We're also offering a two-day Sixes Football carnival in Coffs and Grafton (Link, but the copy/info is going up on Thursday). Please feel free to share both with your participants.
  1. Monthly clubs call (for action)
The next monthly clubs' town hall will be on Monday, 6 June 2022 at 7.30 pm. This call is an opportunity for you to raise issues and engage with NCF Zone Committee members and staff. The call is on Zoom, and you can register here: Link.
  1. All clubs meeting (for action)
An All Clubs Meeting will be held on Sunday, 3 July 2022, at 10.30 am. It will likely be at the C.ex Club at Woolgoolga. Any agenda items should be sent to me by close of business, Friday, 17 June 2022.
  1. NNSWF Facilities Fund (for info)
NNSWF emailed you this week inviting applications for the fund. The fund provides NNSWF member clubs with financial assistance to partner with local stakeholders to improve their facilities' quality, availability, accessibility, and safety. In case you missed the email, it is here: Link.
