Hello Everyone 👋

Welcome to another Into Games Industry Newsletter

Happy Pride Month everyone! With Platinum Jubilee celebrations going on, and Games Careers Week incoming, this month is going to be a busy, busy one!

We have tons of opportunities today so let’s waste no time and get straight into it 👇

Highlights

Become an Into Games Careers Ambassador! - Into Games are super proud to announce the new Careers Ambassador role for industry professionals who would like to directly help members of the Into Games community via Discord!

Careers Ambassadors help the community by answering questions and giving industry advice to people looking for critique on their work, tips for portfolios, or any other help getting into the industry!

Becoming a Careers Ambassador is a great way to volunteer in a really easy virtual way on a basis that suits you. Through multiple exciting Discord-based volunteering opportunities and the option to answer questions whenever you're available, you'd only be expected to volunteer an hour of your time throughout the week!

🏳️‍🌈 We at Into Games are looking for two members of the LGBTQIA+ community to discuss their journey, as well as the state of LGBTQIA+ representation within the Games Industry with members of the Into Games team to our Discord community of 6000+ careers seekers.

Your story could be very inspiring and eye-opening for the next generation of game developers, hearing about you and your journey into the industry may give them the push they need to jump into game dev and start being the change that we all want to see.

We'd like for this to take place on the 14th June, 4pm-5pm. It would take the form of an informal discussion with Into Games employees who are also members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Our Discord panels are very casual audio-only events, so all you’d need is to be a part of the Into Games Discord community, have a working microphone, and be free for an hour!

If you're interested then please email: jayden@intogames.org

🏆 We’re currently seeking judges for the IG50 Awards! In total, we’re looking for 3 art category judges and for 3 cross-discipline judges.

The task: Review between 40-50 profiles over the course of the week (in your own time) and select your personal top 30. You’d be helping career seekers who are hoping to showcase their skills and talents to employers immensely, and we’d love to shout about your work and expertise in the field too!
