State Archives Seeks 1997 Flood Stories for Oral History Project
BISMARCK, N.D. – The public is invited to share their memories of the 1997 flood with State Archives staff as part of the oral history project “Flicker Tales of North Dakota.” Participants will have their stories recorded by State Archives staff during 20-minute sessions that will be held virtually or by telephone. The recording sessions will be June 15-30, and time slots are limited. To make your reservation, contact the State Archives at archives@nd.gov.
The State Archives is a division of the State Historical Society of North Dakota and is located in the North Dakota Heritage Center & State Museum in Bismarck. The State Archives is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and the second Saturday of each month, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Find a calendar of additional upcoming events at statemuseum.nd.gov.
