The More Things Change...
06.02.22
Dear Market Friends and Fans,
...the more you want peanut butter! Can you believe we are in our seventh week of the farmers market season already? We hope you've had a chance to visit the market, meet new vendors, and reconnect with old favorites. As the season progresses, the only sure thing is that the market will continue to grow and change. Bowery Farming has joined our list of vendors, adding crisp-fresh greens and herbs to the products we have to offer. Pipit's Bakery will be back this week--time to stock up on macarons!--and Lathers & Lotions returns with handcrafted soaps and bath supplies after a couple weeks' absence.

Meanwhile, we will miss our wonderful food "truck" vendor, BlendLife, this week while they celebrate a family milestone. And kombucha brewer Untamed Ferments has exited the market.
Watch for other new vendors joining us in the weeks to come and for the return of some familiar faces from past seasons. Staffing issues and other concerns have kept some from attending, but every one of the folks who comes to our market is eager to be there and looking forward to bringing you the finest, freshest items they have to offer.

Thanks to all our customers and vendors for supporting the market's effort to eliminate single-use plastic bags. A recent study of microplastics (the teeny tiny plastics that persist throughout our environment) found that the average person ingests a credit card's weight in microplastics every week! Reason enough to grab a reusable shopping bag to carry your market goodies. Our generous sponsor Astound Broadband has stocked the "bag swap bin" at our market table for anyone who needs a shopping bag*.

The Wonton Soups (Solo edition) will delight and entertain from 11:15a-1:15p, so grab lunch and give a listen as you enjoy another beautiful day at the market.

If you have ideas to share or comments or questions about the Bethlehem Farmers' Market, feel free to drop us a line.

*single-use plastic bags will not be offered at the farmers' market

Expect to hear creative covers and ear-catching originals, from 11:15am-1:15pm. Check them out on the social media or TheWontonSoups.com
