The Goodnight Circus, institution of the Berlin swing/punk scene is packing up the tent to new adventures. Those who have known them will turn up Tuesday 14. June at Crack Bellmer for a last goodnight.

Commemorative concert for Meinhard Luening in West Berlin:
This great trumpeter was playing with the leading DDR-Dixieland band DIE JAZZOPTIMISTEN. In the sixties, the band had a legendary encounter with Louis Armstrong when he landed in East Berlin for a tour in the DDR. The band played their signature tune WHEN IT'S SLEEPY TIME DOWN SOUTH for Louis, who listened carefully and said smiling "You're playing my music!" "You're playing my music!"
