Sandy Keith is researching a possible new project through the Disaster Resilience department of the Diocese of Northern California called Project (RE)START. This program helps people who have lost their homes and are rebuilding their lives by collecting basic supplies that will help them along the way. These items are divided into five categories: bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, cleaning, and infant. More information will follow when available.

Our beloved Bobette Watson passed away peacefully on the morning of May 21, 2022, with her daughter and son, Laddie and Rob, by her side. The tentative date for her memorial service at church is Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 2:00. Rest eternal grant unto her, O Lord; and let light perpetual shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Lastly, we are asking St. Patrick’s family to pray for all the people affected by the horrific shooting in Texas and the deaths of 19 children and 2 teachers who were shielding children from gunfire. Continue to scroll down to Bishop Megan’s message and a prayer for all those who died and for all those suffering because of such violence.

Dear Friends in Christ,

This afternoon, an 18 year-old high school student shot and killed eighteen children and one teacher at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, located about 90 miles from San Antonio.

There are not sufficient words to convey the shock, horror, and immense grief this awakens in our collective conscience. As followers of Christ, we know that death is not the end, but that consolation is surrounded by our profound sorrow when so many – especially children – are robbed of their lives

Upon hearing the news, the staff of the Office of the Bishop gathered together to pray the Litany at the Time of Death in the Book of Common Prayer. As we try to process and comprehend this act of evil, may we be reminded that we are all children of God, and together we weep for the innocents lost this day.

Yours in Christ,

The Rt. Rev. Megan M. Traquair
Bishop

Almighty God, look with pity upon the sorrows of your servants for whom we pray. Remember them, Lord, in your mercy; nourish them with patience; comfort them with a sense of your goodness; lift up your countenance upon them; and give them peace; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
