Embracing a new season - Iris Krakow • Holistic care for children • Annual Report

After three years of street evangelism and discipleship ministry, Iris Kraków embraced a new season. With neighboring Ukraine at war, the small team led by Siyabonga & Dominka Mofele asked the question, “With war at our doorstep, what does love look like?” During the first month of the crisis, it looked like intense ministry at the border with small teams, medical care, and practical help while sharing the Gospel and praying for the sick. Here is just one testimony from an outreach in Lviv, Ukraine:

We met a lady drawn by the Father to us as she heard the team in worship. She came to listen and asked for prayer for her extreme anxiety. She was trying to reach her children in Italy, but the fear was too overwhelming to move there. We prayed for her, shared the Gospel with her, and she received Jesus as her Lord and Savior! We could immediately see the change in her face. From looking depressed and shaking, she began to smile; she was joyful and called us sweet names. We brought her with us to Poland to ease the fear of traveling alone and found safe transport for her to Italy. She told us now she could see the Lord hadn't forgotten her and He cares for her.

As needs at the border dissipate, the ministry has transitioned back to Kraków and their long-term vision of reaching the lost and least within their city. With the exception of special trips to the Ukraine, Iris Kraków has prayer & worship meetings, discipleship groups, and provides housing to Ukrainian refugees and short-term missionaries in their new building.
