Meals on Wheels Help Elderly Battle the Heat
Guardianship for Adults
This is the story of Brianna Watts and her father, Melvin Watts. Brianna was born with a severe form on cerebral palsy. Melvin became her court-appointed legal guardian when Brianna was 20 years old. A guardianship is for adults who need someone else to make life decisions for them.
Supported Decision Making
This is the story of Colby Spangler, his mother Kim Spangler, and Colby’s supporters. Colby was born with cerebral palsy. He has been able to rely on a system of supported decision-making instead of having a court-appointed guardian. Supported decision-making is a legal and social concept in which an individual remains at the center for the decision-making process, consulting with a network of supporters.

Lateshia Davidson

Lateshia has been with M4A for nearly 15 years.  She began as a case manager in our Medicaid Waiver program before becoming a supervisor for the Personal Choices program. She is now the SHIP coordinator, educating our communities and clients about Medicare.  She has a big heart for working with the senior population.  Her clients love her and brag about how patient and attentive she is when assisting them with their needs.  She is also a great team player who is always willing to give a helping hand when needed. Thank you, Lateshia, for being a valuable member of our M4A family. Your dedication and willingness to deliver quality service to our seniors is admirable.  A HUGE kudos to you!!!
Free healthy grocery deliveries kept her community fed through the pandemic, but this chef's battle against food insecurity is far from over
