What a wonderful day! The turnout was great at our first Gardner Market since 2019. The kids were excited to share their booths with the community. Today, they have been calculating profits and dividing out the earnings so we can announce the final amount earned for Second Chance Companions.
Thank you for supporting our students as they learned important business skills while benefitting our local community!

No After Care on Wednesday, June 15th
|
|
Wednesday is an early release, with Early Childhood pick-up at 1:00 and our K-6 student pick up at 1:45. There will be no aftercare for the last day of school.

Staffing Update
Thank you, Shara and Jason!
|
|
|
Jason Kaiser and Shara Parker have been wonderful members of the Gardner School community for several years. Over their time at Gardner, they've worked in a variety of roles. Jason taught our older students as the Music specialist, and Shara worked with them as the Spanish specialist. Primarily, they have led the Mazama Pre-K class in creative and joyful learning. The students have benefitted from the rich classroom environment they created, and from their thoughtful planning and purposeful classroom management.
Shara and Jason will be returning home to California to be closer to family and to enter into their next adventures together. We wish them the best, and appreciate everything they have brought to the Gardner School community.

Celebrating Our Klickitat Graduates
Over the last year, our Klickitat students had a variety of in-depth and fun learning experiences. We have seen them grow so much, and we are thankful for their contributions to our campus. On Monday, June 13th, we will honor our 5th and 6th graders as they start the next chapter!

A Gardner Favorite!
Wheels in School this Friday!
|
|
|
Our students love the opportunity to bring their non-motorized bikes and scooters to Wheels in School, and our spring event is this Friday. At recess times, our K-6 students will be supervised riding around the garden, and our EC students will have a separate time to practice their skills, too. Helmets are required for riding. Drop off and pick up times will be a little slower as families load bikes, so plan for some extra time.

The Columbian's Best of Clark County awards are a wonderful way for our school to get noticed in the Clark County area. We know the Gardner School is a unique and needed school in Clark County, and this recognition is an honor! We are thrilled to announce we are finalists in THREE categories- Best Childcare, Best Preschool, and Best School.

Campus snapshots
At the end of the school year, we have so many opportunities to see the students working together and showcasing their skills. We're proud of our students!

Keeping all of our students in school depends on our families following the requests below for screening for symptoms.
1. In the last 72 hours, has your child had one or more of the following symptoms: fever > 100.4 F, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, chills, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea and/or vomiting, diarrhea, or loss of smell/taste?
2. Has your child been in close contact with anyone with confirmed COVID-19 or has a public health or medical professional told your child to self isolate or self-quarantine because of concerns about COVID-19 infection?
3. If any of the answers to these questions are yes, have you emailed health@gardnerschool.org and been cleared to be on campus? If not, please remain off campus until cleared.
