This week's shoutout goes to Vanderbilt University, a legendary sponsor of the Black Women's Empowerment Weekend.
Learn. Level up. Lead. That's the track record we see when we look at the countless Black women whose journeys have earned their position as Vanderbilt University students, faculty, staff and alumni. We're talking thought leaders, changemakers and everyday women making an impact.
Academics to advocates.
Mathematics to medicine.
Politicians and theologians.
Entrepreneurs and industry disruptors.
With Black women as the leading educated demographic, we appreciate Vanderbilt University's contributions and their investment in betting on Black women.

They say the girls like to tussle, but that's not the case over here.
The Black Women's Empowerment Weekend is a nothing-but-love event curated to inspire and inform you and your crew, while celebrating the women on the move in this era of achievement.
The Era of Achievement
An era is defined as a long and distinct period of history with a particular feature or characteristic. Let's be clear, Black women have always been lit. However, this year we're focusing on our current era where we don't have to choose between being a good wife and mother or being a career woman. Nah, we can do them both or neither.
It's an era where we unapologetically pursue living the most fulfilling life possible. From securing bags, dream jobs and healthy relationships, to growing plants, gardens and farms.
We know you see us ascending to high ranks in corporate life, government, education, the judicial system and more. We don't have time to just call out the raggedy people in power. We're coming with viable solutions, and play no games when it's time to activate and mobilize.
Not just that, we're establishing healthier practices and beliefs to become our best selves inside and out.
