SUPPORT FOR UKRAINE & PRIDE MONTH IN OUR DISTRICT!
As we walk and drive through our district, so many people have flags or signs out to affirm their support and solidarity with Ukraine and also with LGBTQ individuals.  As I continue to meet and connect with so many of you, I'm impressed by your kindness and support for people near and far.

What's on your mind?  We are scheduling Neighborhood Chats throughout our district.  I want to hear your concerns, questions, and recommendations, and simply meet you if I haven't!

Thanks for contacting me during the year.  I'm a better legislator because of my connections with so many of you. Work with constituents led to a bill that was signed by Gov. Cox and improvements in the Inland Port bill.  I hope you'll be able to join us!

First Neighborhood Chat June 9th!

We invite you to join our 1st Neighborhood Chat                  Thursday June 9th 7-8:30 PM!

Mill Hollow Park Pavilion                                           2900 East Hollow Mill Drive

You can also sign up to host a Neighborhood Chat or see the upcoming schedule here.

Great News from our House District
Holladay will host a Special Panel Discussion on Ukraine Wednesday, June 15th.  Thanks to Holladay for organizing this informative event.

Read below about new Beaver Dam Analogs near Brighton!  I was excited to learn about these devices that improve water quality and quantity through my work on HB131.

The Legislature drew new districts based on the 2020 Census.  Click on this link to see our new House District boundaries.  Though some sections of Holladay, Midvale and Murray will no longer in our district after 1/1/2023, we can stay in touch with you through this newsletter.

BEAVER DAM DAY AT WILLOW HEIGHTS

Brighton's  Beaver Dam Day a success! Last year Lise Brunhart applied for a grant from the Central Wasatch Commission (CWC) to install 25 Beaver Dam Analogs (BDAs) below the Willow Heights Dam. BDAs are man-made starts of beaver dams designed to invite beavers finish the job and populate an area.  Lise brought together partners from the Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR), Salt Lake Public Utilities (SLCPU), and volunteers to install them over three workdays. They were installed successfully on time and on budget. Beaver Dams create waterways that are resistant to wildfire and promote moose habitat.
THANK YOU for your donations to our ongoing campaign!  I am recognized in our state for my work on water.  This past week I attended the inaugural Healthy Public Lands Conference at the U Law School's Wallace Stegnar Center to learn, understand, and connect with non-profits and the BLM. Read this article on what I am doing for renters.  If you have not donated, now is the time!
