This Week at St. Anthony Parish

JUNE 5, 2022  I  Pentecost Sunday

Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” (Jn. 20: 21-23)

Read today's gospel.

Donut Sunday is Here!

That's right, the sweet treats are back today, and the coffee will be flowing. Gather with us in the CMR after both the 8:15am & 10:30am Masses.

Meet the Parish Council Over Donuts

Come and visit with members of St. Anthony's Parish Council who will be in the CMR after all Masses today. The Council’s goal this year is to be a support and presence in the parish so that all of the good things that have begun over the last year can continue and we can grow stronger as a community of faith.

We are here for you, and we want to hear from you! Bring your ideas for the parish, thoughts you’d like to share, questions, concerns, or just come to have a treat and put some faces to names. Hope to see you there!

Pentecost Collection for Seminarian Education

This weekend, we are holding our annual second collection for the Education of Seminarians. Thank you for your generous response to the Pentecost Collection. This important collection is vital to our Diocesan efforts to educate our Diocesan Seminarians.

If you are unable to contribute this week, please bring your contribution in the Pentecost collection envelope (mailed to all parishioners) and place it in next week’s offertory. Or, feel free to donate online at the diocesan website, diocesefwsb.org/give/. Thank you in advance for your generous support for seminarian education!

Feast Day Picnic Next Sunday!

Our Parish Feast Day Picnic is next weekend! We will celebrate together on Sunday June 12th at 11:30am, right after the 10:30am Mass. There will be a free picnic lunch (did someone say Franky's Tacos?), a build your own ice cream sundae bar, yard games for children and adults, PLUS bouncy houses for youngsters.

Movements of the Holy Spirit

Fr. Michael Sliney, LC frequently posts wonderful, short, power-packed homilies to Instagram and YouTube. Check out this brief homily of his on Pentecost and the power of the Holy Spirit.
