Music! Music! Music!

The City of Urbana Arts & Culture Program's Sponsored Event
Local violinist and violist Cydnee Ossai will lead participants through musical activities and a demonstration. There will also be the opportunity to hold a violin and viola! Activities will encourage an appreciation for rhythm, musical notation, and a love of music.
The Young Artist's Studio is a series of art workshops sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and The Urbana Arts & Culture Program designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts. All events in the series are free and open to the public. The series is designed for children ages 5 to 11, noting that children ages 7 and under must be accompanied by a caregiver.
It's all happening from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, June 4 at the Lewis Auditorium!

Gear Up for Another 48-Hour Fest!

A 48-hour film fest is an exercise in efficiency, endurance, and off the-cuff creativity. Teams are given precisely 48 hours to produce a short film from concept to completion.
Register your team: https://forms.gle/FcnK3GfrmB8gD7Uv7
At the kickoff meeting at Lincoln Square Mall, teams will be given three things they need to build their story around. These things will need to be incorporated in your story in a significant way. Don't come in with a script already written; your storytelling process begins at the kickoff. You will need at least one team member present at this meeting.
All submissions must be sent to andrewstengele@gmail.com 48 hours after kickoff. Finished entries will be played and judged at a screening on June 9th (100 years to the day after the first sound on film recording!). Location TBA; keep an eye on this event for updates.
