June Celebrations

Congratulations to everyone who was confirmed last Sunday! May God continue to guide your steps and lead you into all truth. Also, a huge thank you to all the children who sang. Your voices encouraged and reminded so many that they too are children of God.

Let's continue the joyous momentum we had last Sunday. This month we have a very full and exciting list of activities and various ways for families to participate.

  • Juice - lemonade, ice tea etc.
  • Fruit trays
  • Veggies
  • Crackers & Cheese
  • Baked goodies (your choice)
Please reach out to me by Thursday, June 9th to let me know what you'd like to bring.

Alleluia Butterfly Mural

Have you seen the beautiful Alleluia Butterly Mural on display in the Parish Hall? If not, check it out to see if you can point out which one your child did!

Child & Youth Minister Update

Returning to St Olave's this past September has been such a gift. Since joining the St Olave's community in 2017, I've always been grateful for your support, the amazing creativity of the kids and such a loving community to fellowship with every Sunday. My hope was to be your Child & Youth Minister forever because I love working with your beautiful children. Unfortunately, my partner, Michelle and I have decided to move out of Toronto so Michelle can be closer to her new job with the University of Guelph. Because of this decision, I have decided to step down from my role as the Child & Youth Minister.

The decision to step down has not been an easy one. I will truly miss all of you, but I know, like the last time I left, I will see you again. If not in this life, in the one that the children say is filled with rainbows. Thank you for trusting me with your children and for giving me the opportunity to share about the person I hold most dear, Jesus.

Sunday, June 26th will be my last day, so I hope we'll be able to fellowship together this month as much as possible.

I always love seeing your children in-person, but understand that during these times it can be difficult attending church services in-person every week. Please remember that Junior Church lessons are uploaded to the St Olave's website every week. These lessons include great family activities, colouring sheets and of course they are loaded with Bible stories!

If you have any questions please contact me.

Peace,
Brittany Hudson (they/them)
