Churchwide News

Link to June 19 Worship Service
Were you not able to attend worship this past Sunday? Or would you like to share the service with friends and family? Visit or share this link https://youtu.be/bnDUJkAQsb4.

Accessible Entrance for the Sanctuary
We encourage those of you with mobility limitations to enter the Sanctuary through the glass doors next to the playground. This entrance to the building and Sanctuary provides ease of access. There are no stairs outside. And once inside the Sanctuary, you can take the first left to avoid any steps to reach the pews.

Thank You For Supporting Student Ministries
You may have noticed the bulletin boards with giving envelopes attached outside the church office and in the MCMC. This is the annual fundraiser for Student Ministries. Simply take the envelope with the dollar amount you would like to give and drop it in the offering. You may also give online at https://bit.ly/FUMCGTStudents2022  and choose Youth Mission Fundraiser from the drop-down menu.
While a majority of your donations go toward summer mission trip costs, such as rental vans, gasoline, and scholarships, they are also used during the school year for:

  • Meals at Methodist Youth Fellowship and Methodist Preteen Fellowship
  • Confirmation Banquet
  • Senior Recognition
  • Disciple Now weekend

We are grateful for your support as these students “Live Out God’s Love” in our community and beyond!

Drop-In Choir
Do you enjoy singing? Do you like being part of a greater number of singers? FUMC will have Sunday Summer Drop-In Choir on July 17, July 31, August 14, and August 28 for both sanctuary worship services. We will have 20-minute rehearsals beginning 30 minutes prior to the start of each worship service. Rehearsals will be in the Music Room rehearsal space on the mezzanine level of the main building. For those who enjoy singing, whether young or old, experienced or with no experience, we would love to have you be part of a drop-in choir this summer. What a wonderful way to weave your voice into the fabric of our church family and join in worship and fellowship. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact Garth Olson at 512-863-2370 or garth@fumcgt.org. Hope to see you in choir!
