Amar Group purchases Halibut PEI
Norway's Amar Group's newly established subsidiary, Amar Seafood PEI Ltd., acquired Halibut PEI’s facility and broodstock. Amar Group looks forward to further expanding and developing both Wolffish and Halibut species into commercially viable and environmentally sustainable land-based aquaculture businesses in PEI (more).

Breathe BioMedical half way to $5M raise
Breathe BioMedical is halfway through a $5 million funding round. CEO Steve Graham says that the $2.5 million Breathe has raised so far, about 80 percent has been drawn from New Brunswick investors (more).  Also, research using Breathe Biomedical technology has been published in the Journal of Breath Research (more).

NCI's Ahiflower oil used in cognitive health product
Neurotropic brand Braini received a composition of matter patent on its proprietary blend which includes Natures Crops International's Ahiflower oil (more). NCI also participated in Vita Foods Europe 2022.

Pegasus launches scholarships 
Pegasus Biotech announced the launch of the “Pegasus Biotech Scholarship Fund” that will provide two $1500 scholarships to UPEI and Holland College students studying in a bioscience related field. RPS Biologiques (RPS) and Agrovet Chile have partnered on an exclusive distribution of RPS’s ‘Puralyze’ product in Chile. The agreement is expected to result in sales in excess of $8 million over the next three years (more).
