Winnetka's Connection to Village Businesses and Events

Sign on a window that reads, "Fresh and Tasty Coffee"Business Input Requested on Proposed Sign Regulation Amendments
Businesses are invited to provide input on amendments to the Village’s window sign regulations and guidelines that will streamline the sign permitting process. Businesses and property owners are invited to participate in the Design Review Board’s upcoming meeting on Tuesday, June 28 at 7 PM in Village Hall’s Council Chambers at 510 Green Bay Road.

Currently, all permanent window signs require a sign permit and approval by the Design Review Board. Under the proposed amendments, all permanent window signs would still require a sign permit; however:

  • certain types of window signs would be approved in an expedited fashion administratively by Village staff; and
  • signs that do not meet the criteria for administrative approval by Village staff would still need to be reviewed and approved by the Design Review Board.

If you have any questions prior to the meeting, please contact, Director of Community Development David Schoon (847-716-3526).
