A short interview with one of our volunteers at the House of Refuge in Cambodia.
The Lord has helped us rescue girls from some of the darkest places in the world, from unimaginable cruelty! We are amazed at how He gives them new life and sets them on a course to victory.
We have been blessed by the participation of God's people in this ministry. Thank you to all of you who have donated, it could not be done without you!
Now I am asking you to go the extra mile with us. The rescues are happening, but now what? We need you now more than ever!
Once the rescue is complete, we need to care for the girls. They need food, shelter and care. Their spiritual needs are met by the Lord giving them new life, the more difficult task is meeting their physical needs.
A huge part of what we do is to "Retool" the girls with a new life skill that will provide for them as they move on in their new life. These girls we have trained to be seamstresses. The clothes they are wearing are a result of their training. They even created the patterns. Aren't they beautiful?
A popular skill chosen by many of the girls is cosmetology. This is Eunice, we sent her to school to learn the trade and now we have helped her open her own salon.
Here are two of our girls, along with Pastor Meng in Cambodia. They operate a juice stand, learning how to run a small business.
In the House of Refuge Myanmar we also help boys. We sent William to barber college and have funded his own barber shop. Here he is giving Pastor Cyrus a haircut. They rented a small piece of land and built the shop themselves.
This is "The Refuge" newly acquired land in Thailand where we will be building our newest House of Refuge. We build them in hard to find places for security reasons. We are doing fund raising for this house now, individual & corporate donors are welcome.
As you can imagine, this all takes funding.
Our greatest need is ongoing support.
The house in Thailand also needs to be built.
