VIRTUAL SUMMER INSTITUTE:
Developing Meaningful Educational Programs for Students with Multiple Disabilities and Complex Communication Needs

This two-day virtual institute on August 8 and 9 offers a session on Multiple Disabilities, Sensory Impairments, & Availability for Learning, as well as a session on Collaborative Teaming, Curriculum Adaptations, & Implementation. The event is sponsored by Idaho Project for Children & Youth with Deaf-Blindness, University of Idaho Center on Disabilities & Human Development; Idaho State Department of Education, Special Education Department; Idaho Educational Services for the Deaf and the Blind.

TIER 1 REFRESHER TRAINING
This virtual, synchronous training provides an overview of the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports framework including the foundational systems and practices of PBIS as well as the importance of access to those for ALL students.

Essential Components is a foundational training for special educators and related service providers who are new to the profession, new to the state of Idaho, or would like a refresher on the special education process.
