Gratitude for Juneteenth 2022 Celebration
Thanks to all who attended the 2nd annual Olympia Juneteenth Celebration Festival on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at the Rebecca Howard Park. The City of Olympia partnered with community leader Shawna Hawk of the Women of Color in Leadership Movement and Media Island International to host a cultural event that honors and celebrates Black history.

Rebecca Howard Park was full of families enjoying the festivities and connecting with vendors. This year’s event was even bigger than last year’s, with an expanded entertainment lineup which included The Buffalo Soldiers, The Black Tones, Shady B, DJ Ladyhawk and more; and The Marketplace highlighting Black-owned and supported businesses.

We look forward to seeing everyone at next year's event on June 19, 2023. Updates will be shared through our DEI e-newsletter and our website, so stay tuned.
