Matic Skin Contact Pinot Gris

A beautiful copper color in your glass after 18 days of skin contact. Quite an aromatic nose with apples, grapefruit and a sweet hint of honey. On the palate you’ll sense lemon pith, apples, and other orchard fruits. A dried orange peel note lingers on the finish. Mineral driven and totally refreshing. Bottled unfiltered. Matic Piccollo Piquette Sparkling Red

One of a trio of wines from the Slovenian winemaker, these are Matic’s first crack at making piquette, apparently, but the results are those of a seasoned pro! 100% Blaufränkisch. Unfined, unfiltered, and undisgorged (so take care in opening the crown cap –- don't want to stain the curtains). Notes of dark cherry & berries, orange zest, pine. $18.99

Gabriel’s Wine Saperavi

Gabriel is an Orthodox Christian monk who lived in the 6th century monastery Shio-Mgvime for twenty-seven years. There, he tended crops, learned to make wine and cheese while becoming a blacksmith. He then returned to his childhood home and began making traditional, natural wine with the help of friends. This wine is completely handmade, using an ancient method in which fermentation and aging is done in buried clay vessels called Qvevri. Unfiltered. No added Sulfites. $28.99/750mL

Rokhster Tsolikouri

Rokhster wines is a new project by Giorgi Kirkitadze and his friends. Giorgi is originally from Imereti, and today owns a wine shop in Tbilisi, and also creates traditional Georgian kvevri wines with the help of his friends. The fruit is organic farmed and sourced from his childhood neighbors and friends in Imereti. Only one wine is produced so far, a Tsolikouri kvevri wine which is wild yeast fermented and aged in kvevri, and bottled unfiltered without added sulfites. $28.99/750mL
