The Mountain Plains MHTTC is housed at University of North Dakota. The Mountain Plains MHTTC serves U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Region 8, including Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming. The Mountain Plains MHTTC serves providers with limited access to service delivery systems with attention paid to rural and agricultural communities.

Erin Briley serves as the MHTTC Project AWARE Liaison from the Mountain Plains MHTTC. She serves the following Project AWARE grantees:
  • Wyoming State Department of Education (2020, 2021)
  • Montana State Office/Public Instruction (2020)
  • Utah State Office of Education (2018)
  • Colorado State Department of Education (2020)
  • South Dakota Department of Education (2018)
The Mountain Plains MHTTC has supported their Project AWARE grantees by facilitating virtual regional collaboration meetings with Project AWARE grantees n a monthly basis, with the goal of spotlighting accomplishments and providing a venue to trouble-shoot challenges so as to promote sustainability. Much of the training produced by the Mountain Plains MHTTC for the current grant year has been geared towards the specific needs identified by Project AWARE grantees through a needs assessment conducted earlier in the grant year.
