Researchers at the University of Alberta want to hear from kids experiencing disability, to learn more about their experiences of inclusion at the Clareview District Park Inclusive Playground. Participants will be compensated for their involvement in the study! Click here to learn more. 


Call for Participants

Researchers from Action for Healthy Communities and University of Alberta are seeking to identify barriers that racialized newcomer youth face in their sports participation and to recommend policy changes to eliminate those barriers. The project will collect information from athletes and their parents about their sport experiences and challenges in their sports, as well as local and provincial sport organizations' experiences in dealing with barriers and providing services to racialized communities.


Three Steps to Responsible Coaching

Established by the Coaching Association of Canada and the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sport, the RCM invites all coaches and sport organizations to learn and apply consistent safety principles. It includes three distinct pillars, each serving to create a sport environment that is Safe, Smart, and Secure.


Engaging LGBTQI2S+ Edmontonians in Sport

Creating welcoming, inclusive teams for the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual, trans-identified, queer, intersex and two spirited community and allies is new territory for many sport organizations. These resources provide information and guidance for inclusion to make Canadian sport a positive space for all athletes.
