Dear Friends:
Sunday, June 19 at 10 AM we will gather to Worship our great God and also celebrate Father’s Day and honor all Dads. The focus of our worship will be on
God’s Upside-Down Kingdom. The Praise Team will lead us in Open the Eyes of My Heart Lord, Remind Me Who I Am, Rule and Beautiful Things.
My message will be a continuation of my summer

series, How to Better Build the Kingdom of God at Mt Bethel Church. We will look at the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) and his teaching on God’s Upside-Down Kingdom
Following the worship service we will gather for our Zoom-Prayer-Connect -Time in the worship area. You are also invited to join us for a time of friendship building and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.
May God richly bless your life at the Summer Solstice. 🌞 🌝 😊  Pastor David

🙏 God, we come before you asking for your help and guidance as we move forward in serving You. Help us to be open to new ideas and listen for Your guidance. Help us to know, to understand, where or what You want our service to be. Thank you Lord, for being with us as we travel this road. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen 🙏

Racial Justice, Juneteenth: What you should know
You might have heard of Juneteenth described as a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. Well…that’s not quite accurate. Juneteenth, now in its second year as a federal holiday, is celebrated on June 19. Unfortunately, there is a lot of confusion about the anniversary of Juneteenth and what it represents. Pastor Yolanda Williams, who serves Glenwood United Parish, wrote a guest blog post providing some important clarification.
While the Emancipation Proclamation and Juneteenth did not entirely end the enslavement or forced involuntary servitude of Africans, she says, its celebration does have a place alongside other celebrations of freedom and should be a trumpet call to continue to work for justice for all.
