As the storms move out today, I hope everyone is able to enjoy the nicer temperatures this weekend at one of the many events taking place. The 18th Annual Fathers Day Celebration is happening tomorrow morning. Several events around Lexington are being held to commemorate Juneteenth. Be sure to stop by Douglass Park on Sunday for the Juneteenth Celebration presented by Wise Guys Barbershop & the Georgetown St. Area Neighborhood Association. From 5 - 9 p.m. there will be food, music, fireworks and a lot of fun! With the day now recognized as a holiday, our office will be closed on Monday in observance. I hope you will take the time to learn more about Juneteenth and ways to celebrate and commemorate the day.
This weekend is also the last weekend for the Bluegrass Fair! We were able to check it our earlier this week and it did not disappoint.
