Cancelled-Monarch Crest Trail Snow Shovel

Monarch Crest Snow Shovel Event originally scheduled for tomorrow is cancelled. Mother nature took care of the snow bank problem ahead of schedule this year.

Yesterday there was still a little snow (see pics) but please, please, don’t go around the snow onto the tundra. Stay the trail or turn around.

CCMR Trail Updates. If you didn't read last week's newsletter, we continue to post trail status on Facebook. For example, the Rainbow Trail is clear from Silver Creek to Hayden Pass Road (CR6). If you clear a section marked “Not open”, let us know. Thanks to the SRD OHV crew for all of their trail clearing.

Again - a reminder - please do not cut initials into cut logs. Cutting initials into cleared trees is considered graffiti and a no-no ... so pass the word. Additionally, when clearing trails, please do not create hazards by leaving cut logs on the trail.

As always ... THANKS for any trail clearing and trail reports in order to help ensure safety and enable users to "stay the trail".
