Mes chers Ramblers !
Comme beaucoup d'entre vous le savent déjà, la Fédération québécoise de course d'orientation, en partenariat avec les Chalets Lanaudière, la Fédération Ukrainienne de course d'orientation, et avec le soutien du Congrès Ukrainien Canadien, organise un camp de course d'orientation de trois semaines près de Rawdon, pour les nouveaux arrivants Ukrainiens : mères et enfants (leurs maris restent en Ukraine pour combattre l'impensable guerre, pour eux et pour nous).
Je suis à la fois émue et ravie de l'attention que notre projet suscite et de la générosité de nombreux donateurs et aidants.
Nous sommes également submergés de demandes d'inscription au camp de la part des nouveaux arrivants Ukrainiens. En moins de 3 jours, 64 familles se sont inscrites, mais nous ne pouvons en accueillir que 32 (40 personnes par semaine, soit 120 au total).
À ce stade, je vous demande de faire un petit don sur ma page "Gofundme" : nous avons déjà collecté suffisamment d'argent pour l'hébergement et le transport, mais il nous en faut un peu plus pour la nourriture et les loisirs.
Nous recherchons également des volontaires, pour aider à organiser les courses d'orientation et d'autres activités.

My dear Ramblers!
As many of you already know, the Quebec Orienteering Federation, in partnership with Chalets Lanaudiere, Ukrainian Orienteering Federation, and with support of Ukrainian Canadian Congress, is organizing a 3-week long Orienteering camp near Rawdon, for Ukrainian newcomers: mothers and children (their men are staying in Ukraine to fight the unthinkable war for them and for us).
I am both humbled and overjoyed by the attention our project is attracting, and the generosity of many donors and helpers.
We are also finding ourselves inundated by applications for the camp, from the Ukrainian newcomers. In less than 3 days, 64 families applied, but we can only accommodate 32 (40 people per week, total of 120).
At this point, I am asking you to make a small donation to my “Gofundme” page: we have collected enough money for lodging and transportation by now, need a little more for food and entertainment.
We are also looking for volunteers, to help with Orienteering and other activities.
