"the recent releases are among the best Paul Jaboulet Aîné wines ever produced"
Joe Czerwinski for The Wine Advocate/Robertparker.com

Dear Wine Lover,

Proudly presenting an allocation of the first release of a new and new-to-market top Syrah/Shiraz bottling from one of the most famous names in the Northern Rhône, and indeed all of France. Small production, only one barrel made, 60 bottles available:

2020 Paul Jaboulet Aîné Cornas "Reynard", Rhône, France, 750ml

"The first vintage to be produced of this wine, there is a single demi-muid (approximately 700 bottles) of 2020 Cornas Reynard, from a parcel situated between Voge and Allemand. The aromatics are stunning here, with scents of violets and crushed stone accenting blueberries and cassis, while the palate is medium to full-bodied, framed by gently dusty tannins that finish long and silky."
93-95/100 Joe Czerwinski for The Wine Advocate/Robertparker.com

HKD $1,500 per bottle

* Top 5 Cornas of the vintage, from a vineyard made famous by Alain Voge and Thierry Allemand in particular, whose wine sells for easily twice the price!

The legendary name and reputation of Paul Jaboulet Aîné has been built on foundations laid by Antoine Jaboulet in 1834. Having founded a small estate and cellars based in the riverside town of Tain L’Hermitage, and with vines across the famous hill of Hermitage, he began to expand soon after, acquiring vineyards in Crozes-Hermitage close by, including the renowned site of Domaine de Thalabert.

The superb reputation and acclaim earned for their flagship bottlings such as their Hermitage "La Chapelle" made them the most famous name in the region for the better part of the 20th century. Following some difficulties in the 1990s the property was acquired by the Frey family (owners of Château La Lagune in Bordeaux) in 2006, and with updates in both the vineyard and the cellar this historic estate is now producing arguably its best wines ever.
