The Warfield Summer of Fun event will be held on Wednesday 27 July at the Warfield Memorial Ground. The events and activities on the day are all free and will include Laser Tag, a climbing wall and crazy golf.
The events runs between 11am and 3pm with parking available on site. Remember to bring a picnic and suncream!
The event is the first of a series arranged by the town and parish councils in the Bracknell Forest area. The other events will take place on:
Wednesday 3 August - Great Hollands Recreation Ground
Friday 5 August - Sandhurst Memorial Ground
Wednesday 10 August - Locks Ride, Winkfield
Tuesday 16 August - Morgan Recreation Ground, Crowthorne
Wednesday 24 August - Braybrooke Recreation Ground
Wednesday 31 August - Farley Wood, Binfield
All events run between 11am and 3pm.

Community Governance Review
Earlier this year, Bracknell Forest Council began a community governance review (CGR) to determine whether the current town and parish council ward boundaries and number of councillors needed to change to reflect the changing make-up of of local communities.
Draft proposals have now been published, which includes changes to the make-up of Warfield Parish.
Local residents and groups and now being consulted on these proposals.

Agreed changes will be used for the elections taking place in May 2023.

Warfield Neighbourhood Plan
The final version of the Warfield Neighbourhood Plan will shortly be published along with the decision notice of Bracknell Forest Council and the date for the local referendum on the plan.
The plan has been many years in the making and will become part of Bracknell Forest Planning Policy if approved at referendum. The plan sets out local policies and expectations, particularly in the areas of Hayley Green, Newell Green and Warfield Street.
We will publish more information on the plan and the referendum when the final details are issued in the next few weeks.

Bracknell Forest Local Plan
The first round of examination hearings for the new Bracknell Forest Local Plan have concluded and will resume in October 2022.
Warfield Parish Council participated on the first round of hearings where these affected the parish. The council made its case against the proposed removal from the green belt and housing development on the lands at and around the Syngenta Research Station at Jealotts Hill and the proposed housing development on land north of Herschel Grange, off Warfield Street.
The examination process is expected to continue into 2023, with the final plan published later that year.

The Parish Office is open Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 12noon. We sell garden waste sacks on behalf of Bracknell Forest Council at £1.10 each.
The Parish Office will be closed on Wednesday 27 July as we host our Summer of Fun event.
