As we live the moment be that as individuals, family and society members, we also look toward the future looking forward to achieve our goals. Our current situation may be challenging and, oftentimes, not what we had hoped and dreamed for. Nonetheless, this does not mean that we are taking steps back. If the goal is clear and we focus on resolving the issues we face, we will have the opportunity and strength to transform challenges into new opportunities for the future. 
ANNUAL REPORT
 
In 2021, World Vision Albania worked in 26 municipalities in Albania and 1 in Montenegro, impacting the lives of over 62 000 children and more than 47 000 adults.

Special focus was given to working with children and adolescents. 𝟏4𝟒𝟎 children and adolescents were involved in 𝟗𝟖 IMPACT youth clubs, undertaking 𝟏𝟒𝟖 community initiatives reaching out 𝟏𝟕 𝟔𝟎𝟎 other youths across Albania.
“Empowered Women, Empowered Children” Study
 
World Vision Albania launched the “Empowered Women, Empowered Children” study, sharing the research results. This is the first study of its kind in the country, exploring the relationship between women’s empowerment and child well-being and their quality of life.. According to the study, an empowered mother raises empowered children.

1GOAL4IMPACT
 
A sports and awareness-raising campaign conducted in 108 schools in Albania throughout the year, which sought to address several key issues reported by children and adolescents in their communities, such as social exclusion and gender inequality.  

Youth Boot Camp
 
As the 2022 Youth Festival is approaching, nearly 70 youth from 9 municipalities in Albania explored the opportunities provided by technology and innovation as means of raising their voice about issues affecting the community, including gender inequality, social inclusion, violence, or environmental issues.   
 

   
“DARE TO DISCOVER”
 
A module, dedicated to children and adolescents. The module’s approach combines creative activities and group games to encourage self-reflection and interaction among peers at some moment.

During a two days traning, 30 children and adolescents from IMPACT groups in Kurbin Municipality “dared” to explore their realities, characters, and their hopes and dreams for the future.
“DONATE - READ"
 
Children and adolescents from 6 schools in Durrës joined World Book Day through the initiative of the Local Youth Council at Durrës Municipality. They were able to obtain around 63 books that were added to the library fund of the “Nishtulla” Multifunctional Community center.
“PLANT A FLOWER, PLANT HOPE"     
 
Was the message conveyed by IMPACT group children and adolescents in Librazhd to their peers.

They planted flowers at their school yard, creating a relaxing and vibrant space for students, teachers and the community.
“RELAXING CORNERS AT SCHOOLS" 
 
Approximately 50 youth from Kurbin created “The Relaxing Corner” by planting flowers and trees in their schools, taking good care of the environment, land, and our joint habitat.
 
In the synergy with the 𝐑𝐄-𝐈𝐍-𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓 “Returnees reintegrate and reinvest within country.” project, funded by the German Government, World Vision Albania joined the GIZ event in Korça named “The Migration Labyrinth”.

The “Migration Labyrinth” introduced a winning start-up model and a class was held with the children of returnee families

Our Staff/ In My Community...
 
If you want a good product from the area of Librazhd, Shpëtim is undoubtedly one of the best connoisseurs of the field. A teacher by profession and with a great desire to help community children and youth develop and pursue an education, he joined World Vision Albania team 15 years ago as a Development Facilitator in the Building Secure Livelihoods program.

Thanks to this, many households are now able to generate sustainable income and create more opportunities for child education and empowerment.
