Dear College Fellow-In-Training,

I want to make you aware of a terrific new resource for FITs – the College’s FIT and New Allergist Toolkit. It’s your one-stop-shop for everything you need to find your first position as an allergist and to get started in practice.

The toolkit’s career resources section focuses on topics FITs told us were most important:
  • How to choose a practice environment that matches your priorities.
  • Successful job search strategies.
  • Negotiating physician employment contracts and understanding compensation formulas.
Once you get started in practice, you will need clinical guidance, coding support, and possibly assistance with business topics like marketing and practice profitability – and the College’s FIT and New Allergist Toolkit has you covered. You will find links to 20+ practice toolkits filled with information and tools to guide every step of your practice journey, including:
  • Clinical topics (Allergen Extract Mixing, Biologics, Office-based Anaphylaxis, Practice Parameters & Yardsticks, Prior Authorizations and much more).
  • Shared Decision-making tools (Adult Asthma, Pediatric Asthma, Immunotherapy, CRSwNP and Atopic Dermatitis).
  • Coding and payment.
  • Business topics (Marketing, Practice Profitability, Telemedicine, HR and more).
You will also find resources on starting in private practice, negotiating payer contracts, EHR efficiency strategies, and negotiating vendor contracts.

So, what are you waiting for? Check out the College’s FIT and New Allergist Toolkit and get started on your journey today!

Sincerely,

Chris Foster, MD
